Sevea had her third and final dance recital at the beginning of February. This session was all about tap. She said she liked all the classes but tap was her favorite. And it wasn’t because of the shoes because they didn’t wear them for this community education class. I think she really liked the ribbons they got to use. It was fun watching her because she really let her personality come out when using the ribbons. During the dance portions of the recitals you could tell she was concentrating really hard on where she should be (on the blue mark) as well as being a little distracted or overwhelmed by the spectators. Sometimes you could wonder if she was enjoying herself by the look on her face. But not with the ribbons.
In general though this class I think went the best because it was the third class she took. Like they say practice makes perfect….or at least better. I think with each class she learned more and was able to feel more comfortable. We’re taking some time off from dance to do cheerleading. So we’ll see if she wants to continue we might have to join a dance club. Until then we’ll enjoy her mini dance recitals in our living room.
