I can't believe it has been 3 years since Sevea joined our family. It seriously seems like yesterday most of the time. However we also can't imagine life without her anymore. Sevea is surely growing up and we are still in love with everyday we get to watch her learn and grow. She has recently become much more opinionated on what she wants. She will tell you in what order she wants to do things and has become more vocal on her wants. It is still surprising to us this comes at age 3 versus more like age 2. Just reminds us of her unique personality. She has gotten into copying what we say more as well. So we finally have to watch what we say more. Luckily Troy has good control of his potty mouth, haha! But we do need to sensor certain topics or certain shows since we know she is picking up on all of it more. Before she just let us believe she didn't get it all :) She has proven to be a great big sister. She is very good at being patient when needed. She is very loving to her brother and has shown zero amount of jealousy towards having him join the family. She loves to give him kisses and hugs but isn't overly concerned with him that it is overwhelming in how much she wants to do with him. We couldn't have asked for a better girl during this big transition. We don't wish her to grow up but we certainly will enjoy getting the opportunity to watch and be apart of her life. We love you to pieces Sevea Paige!
Sevea had been talking about her birthday for sometime since we kept referring to her birthday along with when the baby would arrive. Thankfully even though Cohen was born 3 weeks before her birthday she was patient and didn't drive us nuts about when it was her birthday. But boy it must have added excitement for her because she was READY for it when Saturday September 10th finally came. The whole day was spent pretty much preparing for or talking about her birthday. We right away had to get out the stuff for the party. She decided it would be a good idea to set the table for the party (she did a good job although we ended up outside).

She had gone back and forth between having a Dora theme or a princess theme, but finally decided on Dora after seeing a cake decorated of Dora. She enjoyed going to the party store the week before and picking out all the tableware and such. Party City has little stations of candy and Sevea decided she wanted to get some for her friends. She picked out 4 different candies and the morning of the party filled the bags on her own for her friends.
She then proceeded to have her own little dance party. She has been talking a lot about going to see the dance show and getting pink shoes. If you don't watch Dora, this is an episode from the series.
She then took some time out from her day to play on the floor with her brother.
Cohen was tired of playing but Sevea was promised a ride in the box by dad. So Troy decided the best thing to entertain both kids at the same time was this:
It worked and Sevea thanked her brother for being a good sport. He seemed to not have a care in the world.

After nap Dora welcomed the start of the party with open arms.
After some playing outside and enjoying some food (she was a huge fan of the food...I haven't seen her eat that much since probably before her 2nd birthday....job well done on my part if I do say so myself), it was now present time!
The party was small which was perfect for not overwhelming her with too many gifts. She was blessed with great stuff and has enjoyed the things she got already.
I did say it was a small party but I think Troy and I forgot that when we ordered the cake. Or maybe that was my secret plan all along to have leftover cake. Needless to say we had the whole cake and then some remaining after the party. My craving for cake from pregnancy was officially satisfied!
She really enjoyed the cupcake and her face proves it :)
She had a great day and we are thankful for the love she receives each day and especially on her special day. You are one special little lady Sevea!

| Gift opening at parties can be a little overwhelming and so we didn't get the best snapshots of her opening her gifts. The Zimmers were unable to make the party and Sevea opened their present the next day. I love getting her true reaction on camera |
