On a really cold winter day like today I try to remember that this winter we have actually been pretty lucky when it comes to weather….for Minnesota standards. We haven’t been dumped on with snow like last year (knocking on wood again since we totally did not follow through with our plans to purchase a snow blower after last year’s torturous year) and the temps haven’t been as brutally cold for as long as last year. Hitting temps in the high 30’s and lower 40’s in January and February seem like spring. We figured what better way to enjoy those nice days than to ride the scooters around that the kids got for Christmas. The kids asked so many times for dad to put them together but it was really pointless if they didn’t have a chance to use them. They were sooooo excited for the day they got to finally test them out.
Sevea got to give hers a test run one afternoon during nap time. She has certainly come a long way in her scooter abilities.
We weren’t sure how Cohen would do and at first he just liked standing on it. But then after some encouraging he really took to it. He seems to get the concept and really enjoyed scooting around the garage and driveway.
We didn’t leave Brynna to fend for herself inside on such a nice day. She got to come out and play as well. To a kid her age it is fun to explore the garage. And the big kid Troy enjoyed the day by brewing his beer in nicer weather. I sure enjoy not having the house smell all day! Winter weather for the win!!
