We all thought the egg coloring process goes way too quickly for the work that goes into it. But they turned out cute and the kids enjoyed doing it. Plus hard boiled eggs surely won’t go to waste around here!
The Buchert’s headed home later Saturday so Easter Sunday it was just the Pearcy’s and Appeldorn’s. Troy was probably thankful for this since he had to hide all the Easter eggs and with three older girls it would have meant filling many more of our 220 eggs we had bought. I didn’t mind the extra candy laying around either! We had a simple brunch in the morning followed by the Easter bunny stopping during naps. Sevea wasn’t about to wait for Addy to wake up and dug in excitedly.
After Addy woke up and found her basket, it was time for the hunt. Addy was a great reminder of how much Sevea has grown. She got easily distracted by the playset and almost abandoned the egg hunt a couple times. Sevea on the other hand ran around quickly getting all the eggs she could barely leaving any for Addy to find at all. In the end I think they both had fun.
A good weekend is definitely better with some time to play outside. Even better to enjoy it with your cousin!
God has blessed us with many things but I think the most important is family!
