Brynna 4 month update

Well I blinked and sure enough it is time to update on Brynna at 4 months. This past month it continued to be such a joy to get to know Brynna. If I could say one thing about Brynna it would be that she loves people. She smiles and laughs all the time at people. She is by far the easiest child we’ve had to get to smile or laugh. If she is fussy, she’ll normally calm down when someone talks to her or is in her eyesight. And she certainly likes the comfort of being held. She does good entertaining herself but you can easily tell she loves to interact with other people, kids and adults alike. It doesn’t take much to get a smile or a laugh. This totally makes up for the trouble she causes in the middle of the night :)

Yup we are still dealing with night sleep issues. She has actually gotten worse. We are hoping a lot of it is because of teething. We’re not holding our breath on getting a full nights sleep anytime soon. And oddly enough this time around I’m dealing with that fact pretty well. Maybe because after two times at doing this I know without a doubt it will get better….eventually!

Otherwise Brynna is a typical 4 month old. She is interacting more with her toys which is fun to watch. She likes to play with her nuk. She’s capable of putting it in her mouth sometimes and then she’ll pull on the string and pop out it comes. Fun little game she created. When playing on the floor she plays with the toys hanging from her play mat or toy bar. Of course everything gets explored by putting it in her mouth. She likes to make bubbles and kissy noises with her mouth. She likes the view the bumbo provides. She loves bath time. We generally hold her in the tub so she can kick and float in the water. No matter her mood she loves this time of the day. She tries so hard to roll from her back to her belly but just hasn’t quite figured it out. That one arm always gets in the way.

With all that Brynna is learning she hasn’t forgotten to grow. She weighed in at 13 lbs 4 oz (Sevea weighed the exact same, Cohen 14 lbs 10 oz) which was 24%. Her length was 24.25 inches (Sevea 23.5, Cohen 23.75) 32%. So she is higher in height percentage wise than weight. Not typical for our kiddos. She still is holding on to the title of the tallest kid we’ve had. It will be interesting to see how she continues to grow compared to the other two. I just hope she doesn’t grow too fast but it seems like she isn’t listening to me.
