Call Me Paige

This is just too funny not to share or remember.

Daycare friends: Sevea, Sevea, Sevea

Sevea to her friends: Call me Paige.

Friends: Sevea, Sevea, Sevea

Sevea: You call me Paige and my mommy and daddy will call me Sevea. I want to make that change so please call me Paige.

Friends: But we like calling you Sevea.

Sevea: But I would like to make that change so call me Paige.

This isn’t the first time Sevea has said she wanted to be called Paige but it is the first time that she requested it from her friends. It all stems from Brezlyn or also quite popularly known as Bitsy. Brezlyn has been almost exclusively been called Bitsy since she was a baby. But this last year she has requested that people call her Brezlyn. All part of growing up I suppose. Angie mentioned her request mainly for those in her school but we still mentioned to Sevea she should try calling her Brezlyn more often. Sevea didn’t really get it. We tried to explain to her nicknames and middle names and all of that. She got that part but I think for Brezlyn she just considered Bitsy to be her name not a nickname. Fast forward a month or two later and she tells us about her request to now be called Paige. However she never enforced it. She told us in the car about it and that was it. Until today.

However she has already forgotten and her friends have called her Sevea just like normal :)
