We celebrated with great weather, great food, great company, and a great deal of fun for the kids! It was so fun watching the kids enjoy the whole afternoon outdoors. Brock and Angie surely had enough to entertain them, from riding toys, a sandbox, a swing set to a slip n slide and fun pools. The kids went non-stop all afternoon and even got the adults involved with a little water fight later in the afternoon. (Best part...seeing Grandpa Gary throw Makenzie into the pool after he was forced into the water fight action!!)
The action carried over until well into the night and Sevea got to join in the fun for the first time. Normally we are the parents that try to stick to her bedtime or close to it. But she was having such a good time and wasn't crabby plus I think the time just got away from all of us having a good time. It was a perfect night to let her stay up. Brock got out some glow sticks and the kids enjoyed running around at night but the parents enjoyed being able to see them!

The smore's were brought out and then the crabbiness set in. It was surprisingly 11:30 at night. Wowsers! Boy did she play! All of this on a 1/2 hour nap on the car ride too. Sevea has a tendency to wake up earlier at other people's homes. I think she assumes more fun will be going on in the morning so we were nervous about the wake up time. Troy and I woke up this little girl at 9:40! We both don't remember the last time that we both slept in that late. Granted we went to bed at 1:00 ish but it still felt great considering the alternative.
It was a GREAT visit and fun for the whole family. Thanks Buchert's!!!
