Disney Live 2013

What a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than eating snacks watching Disney characters. Even better is watching them live! We took Sevea and Cohen to see Disney Junior Live Pirates and Princesses Adventures show this past Sunday.

The show was at the Excel Center in St.Paul and we had floor seats. It was nice to be closer but without stadium seating both the kids sat on our laps most of the show. We saw some familiar characters before the show. It was interesting to take pictures of the kids with two characters that we know and love but they have no clue who they are.

Those high priced souvenir stands get us every time. Cohen walked away with a sword and Sevea a tiara. It was so neat to watch Cohen with his new sword. He has never been shown what to do with it. His only exposure is probably from the show Jake and The Neverland Pirates. He was all boy and acted like he had been a sword fighter for years. There was a little boy waiting at the concessions by us who was probably 5. He had a sword as well and Cohen instigated a sword fight. It was pretty cute. Sevea looked as pretty as a princess in her light up tiara.

We settled into our seats with our snacks and got ready to enjoy the show. Troy was thinking when he got cheese curds because the kids devoured them. Next time we might need to get two orders so Troy and I can have some. Except we’d probably have to take out a loan since the cost of everything is out of control.

The show started with a little skit by Doc McStuffins and then Mickey and Minnie Mouse introduced and concluded each act.The kids both LOVED every minute of the show. With Cohen just turning 2 we wondered how he would do but I figured it was worth trying since he likes watching tv. He sat the entire time without a peep or a wiggle. Sevea said that this was “The BEST day ever! We should do this every year!” Safe to say this was a huge +1 for mommy and daddy. It is things like this that make parenting extra fun.
