Brynna 8 month update

We had another fun month getting to know our sweet Brynna B. She’s working hard on learning new things. We’ve witnessed her trying to figure out the whole crawling thing for quite sometime. She’s mastered rolling everywhere. She doesn’t tend to scoot backwards much since I think she knows that isn’t getting her to where she wants to go. But at the end of the month she figured out the scooting forward. The first day she army crawled one length forward. The next day she did it twice. And then she just kept doing it more and more from there. She gets up on her knees but still plops down before she scoots herself forward. She isn’t fast and still “lazy” when it comes to moving but it reminds us that soon enough she’ll be on the move all the time and our lives will change once again.

One thing she has become a pro at this month is eating table food all on her own. When we started with table food she didn’t have the coordination to feed herself. Sure she could hold on to a cracker but she didn’t have the pincher grasp yet and couldn’t really get a hand full into her mouth. She’d get the food there than not know how to open and plop it in. This month we welcomed this change very much. Miss hungry can eat while we eat instead of her demanding more food while Troy or I try to sneak a bite in.

Let’s just hope Brynna doesn’t learn the trick of feeding the dog. Lily is trying her hardest to teach Brynna when we’re not looking.

We’ve also enjoyed listening to Brynna babble a lot this month. She’s started talking more and more. We hear baa baa baa ba ba baa all day long. It is music to my ears. Especially in the mist of dealing with Cohen and his speech, this babble means so much.

We definitely have our moments when Brynna is extra needy but in those moments I try to remember she’ll soon enough be too big for me to hold. She soon enough won’t want as much to do with mom (or dad). I’m trying to soak up as much of Brynna now while she’ll let me. Till next month!
