Egg hunt

I surely have some catching up to do. Let’s rewind a bit shall we. We started our Easter season this year with an egg hunt put on by Shakopee Community Education. This was the first egg hunt we have done with the kids other than those in our own backyard. We met the Zimmers and Sevea’s daycare friend Grace there. Sevea really enjoyed racing to get the candy. Cohen took his sweet time picking up piece after piece on the outskirts where no one bothered him.

When the hunt was done the Easter bunny came around to see all the kiddos. I wondered how Cohen would react since he was in a little bit of a sour mood to begin with. Surprisingly he did great. I don’t know if he associated it with Halloween or what but he kept trying to give the bunny his basket. Maybe he thought the bunny would put more treats in his basket. He really seemed to cheer up after visiting the bunny. Someone else not so much…

It was a fun morning. There were games and activities as well but the long lines had us running the other direction. We’re hoping to go again next year. Then we’ll have three kiddos running around collecting candy for me to eat!
