Cohen’s ear tube surgery went great today. The surgeon did say that he had a good build up of fluid they removed. Otherwise the surgery went as planned. He surprised me with how calm he was going with the nurses (although we did get him to choke down some medicine that was supposed to help him). The surgery itself only took like 15 minutes or so and the total time he was away from me was roughly 40 minutes. I was told he would either come back like roaring like a lion or calm as a cat when he was coming out of anesthesia. Thankfully he came back calm sucking his thumb and playing with a light up toy. The rest of the day he has been happy and active. He is chatting so much. But only time will tell if his speech will improve.
