Cohen Month 2 Update

Hard to believe that 2 months have passed since I gave birth to Cohen. He is definitely growing and we are learning more and more about him all the time. I can't wait to see what little person he becomes. His pediatrician and I both talked about how amazing it is that he is already a whole little person. Nothing is missing, he just needs to grow and learn. We had his 2 month check up and things went well. As his doctor said, "He is two scoops of cute and one scoop of body." haha We had some concerns about him favoring one side of his neck than the other, but the doctor said this is pretty normal and keep doing what we have been doing to try to help. This includes massaging his neck and turning it to the one side as well as the best thing tummy time! He said hopefully with his increasingly better eyesight he will want to look at things on the side that he doesn't favor. So hopefully we can work on this so he doesn't end up needing physical therapy. I thank my friend Allison for telling me a story that made this kind of thing a concern for me because it can result in a flat head which requires a helmet to fix but could leave permanent damage if not dealt with soon enough. But as of right now his head is just fine and no reason to overly worry. Otherwise nothing much else to report from the appointment...except his GROWTH :)

Here is how Cohen stacked up. He is growing great with his weight being 11 lbs 8 oz which is 43%. His length is 22 1/4 inches which puts him at 23%. And of course the fun part was comparing him to Sevea. At her 2 month appointment she was 10 lbs and 21 1/4 inches. So he definitely has the weight gain thing down and keeping his 1 inch difference from birth going. Which we could tell as he grew out of the newborn pants so much quicker than Sevea did. I found out that boys and girls are on different growth charts as well. Interesting little tidbit.

2 months = shots

Troy got quite a few smiles even though he was trying to keep him from favoring his right side
