That Yoshi you saw from part 1 came from another adventure we had for the Countdown to Christmas. The kids have always wanted to go to Build-a-Bear but I just never thought they would care about a stuffed animal enough to justify the $$$ it costs for these fancy stuffed animals. All three had been more into the little beanie boo’s so I decided we’d make it a special trip for the holiday. It was a lot of fun…until I got to the cash register, haha It was more than I’d like to spend again anytime soon on stuffed animals but the kids were so excited the entire time. They took their time deciding which one they wanted, we let them pick out a couple special items like a smell, heart, or a sound and of course a special outfit for the animal. The whole experience lasted roughly 1.5 hours so the higher price tag could be justified a little more as in it was also an experience. And in the end they really really loved their animal.
Since we were in the Mall of America and our adventure stuffing animals left us starving, we decided to take the kids for a little more fun at Dick’s Last Resort. It was actually a new experience for all of us and we weren’t quite sure what we were getting ourselves into. If you haven’t been to Dick’s Last Resort it is known for their “service that is attentive but also surly, funny, sometimes raunchy and always obnoxious”. Just take a look…
All of us really enjoyed the humor except Princess Poopy Pants. Maybe she just needed some food because after she ate she thoroughly enjoyed getting to throw napkins at other tables and all over the place. It certainly was a fun experience to end our special trip.
