So you know how I talked about that once in a lifetime trip to Walt Disney World? Well somehow I hit the lottery and Keeley planned a second trip to the magical world all for me. Okay okay, that’s not the total truth. She planned a trip for whoever wanted to join but this time she planned it knowing it would include other families. I didn’t think we’d be going back just two short years later but the fun we had was hard to pass up again. This trip was a little different since we had been there before so some of the magic wasn’t as exciting. Still exciting but nothing like the first time you experience something. In some ways it was really great. Having gone once before we skipped some things but there was still plenty of new things to fill our time. We spent less time on character visits and more time riding rides. We again enjoyed more time in the early part of the day at the parks and then spent lots of time at the pool in the later part of the day. Keeley did an amazing job yet again planning this vacation. Although I knew more about what to expect at Disney this time around, the mere thought of having to plan anything for the trip would sure to have sent me into panic mode. I get a little panicky thinking of writing the post just because there was so much. But I’ll do my best to recap parts of it even if it is just through some pictures.
The plane ride couldn’t have gone better. It was an early flight so we had some snoozing kids or one waited until the bus to finally crash. But once we arrived at the resort they were ready to go!
Visiting each park again was so great. It is so overwhelming how much there is to take in and see. So getting to do it again was nice to find more about each park that we missed. It was also sooooo great to hear the kids talk about all they remembered from the first trip. Even smaller details really proving that they tried to soak it all in just like us adults.
We enjoyed a safari visit again this trip. An extra special addition courtesy of Carissa’s work was getting an up close and personal tour of the elephants. It was fun to learn more about them and the kids enjoyed playing with the poop, haha
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ did not disappoint this trip either. Best part Brynna did not try to hit Goofy in the nose!
No matter the activities planned when visiting Disney the kids just have an amazing time. If you think about the amount of time they spend walking around or waiting for rides or food or whatever, it’s surprising to me that we don’t deal with more meltdowns. Leaves can be turned into a fun toy. Maybe the extra treats they get help. Or maybe the fun activities just give them a better attitude to endure the other not so fun parts. Just don’t make Brody get close to Goofy and all is well in the world. We knew each day was a success with how quickly each kid fell asleep.
I’m not really sure that we earned some kid free nights since the kids were so good. But we did it anyway. Who am I kidding? No matter how great they were on this trip they are still kids and the adult time really refreshes you for another day.
There was so much fun it’s easy to forget some things. One thing I’m not forgetting is the RIDES…
