Sevea loves to dance around the house. You remember how dance party was a bedtime ritual at one point. Well her daycare friend Eloise started dance classes this past spring. So of course Sevea insisted that she start dance class. Instead of signing her up at a local studio (which can be very expensive) I thought we’d see about a community education class first. That way it would cost mom and dad a little less and she could try it out. If she really gets into it we’ll see about joining a studio. Well her first night happened to land on her birthday. What a special day she had. Her daycare friend Grace is also taking the class. Her first class is ballet and then she will have a jazz class. Class is every Tuesday for approximately 6 weeks. There will be a recital at the end of each class. She enjoyed the first class and has asked every day since if today was dance class again :)
Someone else really wanted to join the class as well. When all the kids sat down outside the room to listen to the teacher Cohen sat with them. He tried to open the door to get into the room with them. Then when the door was opened he snuck in and sat down as the teacher instructed the rest of the class. He was not happy when mom took him out of the room. Maybe next year bud, you have to be 3 to be in the class!
It was cute how he tried to sit as close to his big sister as he could.
