It is the time of year when costumes are purchased and houses are decorated in scary themes. But the best part of this time of year is of course....the CANDY!! This was our first year at home in our new house for trick-or-treating so we didn't know how many kids to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the turn out. It wasn't a LOT of kids but surely enough. We probably missed some kids as well since we took Sevea out for the first time. This year was still a practice run I guess. We only ventured to Carissa's and Keeley's but she got enough candy with just the two places. (Note to self...Both places buy good candy..must go back next year...make sure Sevea gets enough to share) We had been practicing on saying trick-or-treat but didn't know what she would do when we got to the door. It took prompting but she said it and then was excited for the candy but didn't forget her thank you's. It was the most like real trick-or-treating at Keeley's for her. She knows Keeley and Matt well but isn't over to their house a ton. She was hesitant for about a second and then warmed up. We were excited to see Mr. Oscar had on his costume as well (their dog). The practice went well and we look forward to next year where maybe she will bring home lots and lots of loot.
